WHAT WE DO
Stone Sharpening is a skate sharpening service designed for convenience, quality and consistency serving the greater West Hartford and Farmington Valley areas. Our skate sharpening service is flexible to meet the demands of busy parents and players to provide assurance that your needs are being met in a timely and consistent manner. We can pick up and drop off at the rink, your home, or you can conveniently drop them off and we'll schedule a quick turnaround to get them back to you. Gone are the days of making an hour+ trip to get skates sharpened.
BLADEMASTER
Stone Sharpening uses only the best possible equipment to give you consistent quality with every sharpen. The Blademaster system allows for flexibility to sharpen player, goalie and figure skates from the same machine, each using specific grinding wheels for the type of skate. Blademaster is the preferred system of most college and NHL teams.
PICK UP & DROP OFF
We are truly excited about our standard pick up and drop off service - at the rink, your home, or drop them off on your way to work and pick them up on your way home. This service gives busy families the flexibility you need when you simply don't have the time to get to the local Pro Shop.
Our Team option is exceptionally flexible. When your team subscribes to the service, we give the team a hockey bag and schedule pick up at the rink! We'll pick up the full bag, sharpen all skates, and have them back before the next practice.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL
We often receive skates for the first time in poor shape with wavy or uneven edges. The inside edge may be lower than the outside or vice versa. The key to skate sharpening is paying attention to the small details that creates consistent performance on the ice. We check each skate before and after the sharpening to make sure it is as close to perfect as possible!
COVID-19 is still an unfortunate reality. We disinfect all skates prior to their return.
